Neil Sedaka looks back with new album (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Neil Sedaka was one of rock 'n roll's first superstars with hits like “Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen,” “Oh! Carol,” “Calendar Girl,” “Breaking Up is Hard to Do,” and “Laughter in the Rain.”

Now, after more than half a century singing and writing songs, he looks back at his legacy with an album, “The Music of My Life,” containing original new songs.

Alicia Keys tops R&B chart with new album (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Alicia Keys' album “The Element of Freedom” topped the R&B chart in its first week of sales, but fell short of Susan Boyle to land at No. 2 on the Top 200 Albums chart, her label said on Wednesday.

NEW YORK (AP) — The top album of the decade came from an act that’s not even around anymore — ‘N Sync.

Billboard magazine says the boy band led by Justin Timberlake had the decade’s best-selling album with “No Strings Attached,” which sold more than 10 million copies.

The most popular song of the decade was Mariah Carey’s ballad “We Belong Together.”

Lil Wayne Album Delayed AgainRapper Lil Wayne’s “Rebirth” album has been delayed again - to 2010. The experimental rock album was set to hit music stores in time for Christmas after experiencing several delays, but now it will be a New Year release.

The highly-anticipated record was initially due for release in May, but was pushed back five times.

Susan Boyle’s debut record, “I Dreamed A Dream,” entered the British album chart in the top spot Sunday. The 48-year-old Scottish songstress famously finished second on “Britain’s Got Talent,” but the variety show launched a career that has seen her win success on both sides of the Atlantic.
