DETROIT (Billboard) – KISS, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, the Hollies, LL Cool J and Jimmy Cliff are first-time contenders for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, organizers said Wednesday.

They join returning candidates ABBA, the Chantels, Darlene Love, Laura Nyro, the Stooges and Donna Summer.

DETROIT (Billboard) – Gene Simmons says Kiss fans can expect to see “new outfits, a brand new stage and millions more (dollars) put into it” when the group begins its Kiss Alive 35 tour to promote “Sonic Boom,” the band's first new album in 11 years, on September 25 in Detroit.

50 Cent has ended his long rift with rival rapper Jadakiss, and the pair are now planning a collaboration. The pair has been at war ever since Jadakiss appeared on Murder Inc. rapper Ja Rule’s 2004 track New York, which took a swipe at the “Candy Shop” star.

The two have since fired off at each other in a succession of songs and videos.
