The man behind MacGyver is consulting lawyers in a bid to block the release of an upcoming spoof movie based on the 1980s TV series. A new film, titled MacGruber and starring Val Kilmer, is set to hit cinemas in April, but Lee Zlotoff, creator of the original show, alleges the parody breaches copyright laws as he retained the movie rights to his TV creation.

Actress Lucy Lawless is calling on movie bosses to adapt Xena: Warrior Princess for the big screen - because she fears fans will lose interest in the fantasy series if it’s revived for TV.

The New Zealand-born star is best known for playing the warrior pin-up in the cult program, which she is desperate to see brought back to life as a feature film.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Billy Ray Cyrus has been preparing his whole life for the role of Daniel Burton in the Hallmark Channel movie “Christmas in Canaan.”

“I started digging through like old boxes of stuff and finding old Polaroids of my dad from 1964,” the 48-year-old country singer said. “I thought, if I can become my dad — if I can be Ronald Ray Cyrus in 1964 — then that’s this guy. Just go be your dad.”

Viggo Mortensen is considering early retirement following the release of his new movie The Road because he wants to spend more time as a publisher, poet and photographer.

The star, who publishes his poetry and photographic books through his Perceval Press imprint, insists he is planning a long hiatus from Hollywood and he may never return as a movie star.

Hugh Jackman won’t be stepping in to protect Miley Cyrus anytime soon - the actor’s representative has denied the pair is set to star in a remake of The Bodyguard.

The duo was rumored to be planning a new movie, loosely based on the 1992 Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner hit.

Pull out your lighter, turn up the volume, and get ready to throw up the horns. This jammin’ compilation is my top seven compilation of climactic movie concerts. Why seven? Seven is a nice odd number.

When I first decided to form a list of top movie concerts, I thought having a wealth of film knowledge would help me out. Sitting down to draft the list however, I found myself at a loss for ideas. I couldn’t see the forest for the trees, and plots sat jumbled together in my head.

MTV’s awards shows have become something of a spectacle in the last few years from controversial performances to surprise celebrity events leading up to and surrounding the actual show. That would explain why neither this year’s MTV Movie Awards host Andy Samberg nor “We Made You” performer Eminem, had time to walk the red carpet at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios Citywalk last night.

NEW YORK (AP) - Beyonce says one of the toughest parts of summer tour has been condensing more than a decade’s hits into a two-hour show. Judging from a recent photo shoot, figuring out how to perform them in Thierry Mugler’s elaborate, over-the-top costumes is just as difficult.
